Principal's Message!

Dr. Zampillo

Hello Central Middle School Students and Families,

I hope all of you have had a great Summer! I am excited to serve and lead the Central Middle School community starting in the 2022-2023 school year.

In the short time that I have served as Central’s Principal, I have learned that it is a school populated with outstanding students, dedicated staff, and a supportive parent population. With these things in place along with being located in a strong community, I look forward to working with you, our kids, and our staff in order to do great things for the students of Central Middle School.

My vision for Central Middle School is to ensure that it is a fun, nurturing, and safe place that ensures all students have the opportunity to learn and grow successfully.  The administration, faculty, and staff will strive to make this happen by establishing strong, positive connections with students while exposing them to engaging, equitable, relevant, and fun learning opportunities.

In addition, we will make sure it is a priority to form strong partnerships with our parents as well as our community members because these collaborative relationships are necessary to ensure students are provided with everything they need to successfully grow academically, personally, and socially.

I am grateful to have been granted the opportunity to be part of such a special school community and look forward to what the future will bring for the students of Central Middle School as we work together to provide them with the great educational experiences they deserve.

Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions or need anything from the Central Middle School community.  I look forward to the great things we will do together!

Go Panthers,

Joe Zampillo, Ed.D.
Central Middle School Principal

Hello Central Middle School Families,

I am thrilled to be starting the 2020-2021 school year as one of your Assistant Principals.  This is my 22nd year in District 124.  I taught Math for 18 years here at CMS prior to transitioning out of the classroom.  I have been beyond  fortunate to spend the majority of my career in our district, and take great pride in our school community.

I am an educator at heart, and love everything about CMS!  I cannot think of any other place I would want to be than here in the Evergreen Park Community.  My goal is to ensure all of your children receive the best education possible in the safest environment.   I look forward to working with each and every one of you to make this school year as successful as possible.

Please reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas you have for myself and our administrative team!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Jenny Daly, Assistant Principal

Greetings CMS,

Welcome to a new school year of learning at Central Middle School. It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I continue to serve as one of the assistant principals in District 124. Approaching my 15th year in education with this district enables me to continue to utilize the tools that I have garnered as a teacher, MTSS coordinator,  athletic coach, and counselor to young men and women in the Chicagoland area schools.

I am truly looking forward to all aspects of school. While we know learning is key, it is important that we remember how invaluable our social-emotional environment is to our community. Being an athlete at North Park University provided me with the opportunity to explore the importance of service, community, responsibility, and compromise- all of which supported me to obtain master’s degrees in counseling and educational leadership.

Support is important. I look forward to continued partnership with staff, parents, and the community. Though it is a cliche, it truly does take a village to make certain that our youth have what they need to be successful. Through various mentorship programs along with the creation of a social-emotional curriculum, I have accepted a journey to provide students with life skills training and mentoring support while making sure that students continue to grow academically.

I look forward to your partnership.

Daniel Richmond, M.Ed.
