- Read and perform traditional musical notation with a high level of proficiency
- Learn basic performance skills
7th Grade Music Classes will cover the following topics:
- Discover the music and traditions of world cultures.
- Accurately perform traditional rhythms using culturally specific techniques
- World cultures will include:
- Africa
- Asia
- India
- Mexico/South America
8th Grade Music Classes will cover the following topics:
- Discover various genres of music and traditions using Ukulele performance
- Learn the history of the ukulele
- Apply appropriate ukulele performance skills
- Create compositions for class performance
- Build Connections to music history through ukulele performance
