Central Middle School and the Evergreen Park Police Department teamed up to raise $1,952 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation by hosting the ninth annual Big Game on Feb 23.
The fundraiser was highlighted by the volleyball match between the CMS staff and the E.P. Police. The middle school staff came out on top once again this year in a grueling, three-set match.
The money raised for St. Baldrick’s came from generous donations and a variety of prizes that were raffled off during the event. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
The festivities began with a pregame show from the Chicago Stockyard Kilty Band and a Mayer School of Irish Dance, which was followed by a Presentation of Colors by the E.P. Police Department.
